Kira Sims "Theo" is a dog trainer and behavioralist currently based out of Bristol, Connecticut. She is a well-rounded dog handler working in fields such as behavioral training, service dogs, police dogs, show dogs & sports dogs. In addition to on-hand expertise with various breeds and disciplines, Kira has also done college studies to work towards and better understand canine psychology, behavior, and neuroscience. Theo recently earned certified credentials from AKC and the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants and is a certified dog trainer and behavioralist.
The understanding and correct application of canine psychology and physiology has allowed Kira to develop a vast understanding of how to help dogs with complex cases as well as dogs that just need basic obedience! She continues to develop and modernize her approach to training as new studies come out about how dogs understand the world around us. Maintaining the relationship with you and your canine counterpart is the forefront of our program. Our program emphasizes ethical practices using LIMA (least invasive, minimally aversive) training methods to ensure your dog is treated with the respect they deserve. This also keeps in perspective that every dog and case is unique and may need different tools and approaches.

Meet Mania! Mania is Kira's Great Dane Service Dog. She is also Our company's demo dog helping to demonstrate different training techniques to clients. She participates in sports such as FastCat, Agility, Rally, and Obedience.
